Chill-Out Cafe Mural ‘06

The idea behind the mural was to show the transition of the conformity of school, to the relaxed life within the young peoples Chill Out Cafe, once the school day has finished.

Images of young people are seen to the left of the mural, wearing school uniform, which leads onto activities which are in and around The Chillout Cafe. The mural then leads onto other young people with their out of school casual clothes worn.

The young people had the freedom to design and create ideas, discuss images, colour mix, application of paint and technique, project images and transfer onto the wall in a safe, creative and fun environment.
